Vermont Yankee Voted Down by Senate
Unreliability, radioactive spills, aging reactor components, and lying statements from Entergy, the firm that had operated the Vermont Yankee plant for the past 37 years, were among the reasons that the Vermont Senate voted to deny a request for a 20-year extension of its operating license.
